Abstract

SUMMARY

This communication is about understanding how to teach a common language and recognize the

cultural and linguistic diversity of French-speaking countries through the introduction of Francophonie in the

school lessons. Is it possible to teach it? We want to update the double

ambition of the phenomenon as a political object to a linguistic object. France maintains

privileged bilateral and multilateral relations with States, governments, communities

which constitute the French-speaking community of countries having the use of French in common, affirmed

in May 1989 in Dakar by the summit of heads of state and government the use of French. She

participates in the construction of the French-speaking community. It is through the Francophonie that the

French maintains itself as a language of international communication, transcending the limits of

France and is establishing itself alongside other international languages on a global scale. We have

found that the primary objective of its training has been broadened and this phenomenon has taken on a new

dimension. It is this trend that has pushed us to update the Francophonie as an object

political and cultural to a linguistic object in school lessons and also to unmask the

know-how in teaching in order to recognize the cultural and linguistic diversity of countries

French speakers by introducing F(f)rancophonie into the courses. Our main objective in

This communication is to show how to teach this phenomenon in our courses and how

help learners to open up to the French-speaking world despite globalization and at the same time

to raise awareness among teachers about techniques for building on linguistic diversity and

cultural heritage of the French-speaking world in order to acquire skills and knowledge on

the space of French-speaking culture.
